Sponsoring Albany Rowing Center

Albany Rowing Center is a publicly supported not-for-profit organization and a registered charity in New York State. Membership dues are the primary source of income for the organization. Annual budgets aim to cover all operational costs through membership dues, but because we are a small organization, dues are not sufficient to cover extraordinary expenses such as the purchase of new equipment or vehicles. To supplement its dues income, ARC annually conducts fundraising events, fundraising sales and a sponsorship appeal to businesses, corporations and individuals. ARC also has members with grant writing experience and is able to file for federal, state, and corporate grants to cover some facility and equipment needs, such as docks and safety equipment. ARC is grateful to all its members, sponsors, supporters and granting agencies for their financial support of the club, without which we would not be able to provide quality rowing programs for our members.

As a registered charity, ARC is annually required to file a financial statement with the New York State Attorney General's Charities Bureau. A copy of the latest financial review for the organization may be obtained by writing to: Charities Bureau, 120 Broadway 3rd Floor, New York, NY 10271. Or you may search the Charities Registry for Organization of Adirondack Rowers and Scullers.
