About ARC: Uniforms
The Albany Rowing Center Masters uniform is navy blue with orange trim.
Competitive masters rowers wear either the team unitank with shorts or the team unisuit. These garments are navy blue, with an orange stripe down each side. Albany Rowing and crossed hatchet blade oars are embroidered in orange on the left chest. In cold weather, rowers may choose to wear the team long-sleeve shirt with tights. These items are also navy blue with orange stripes, and the shirts have the team name and crossed oars embroidered on them.
Rowers who are new to the club and have the opportunity to compete prior to purchasing a team uniform can usually borrow an ARC tank or wear navy blue tops. New rowers should acquire their uniform at the first opportunity to do so. Donna Dubin (ddubinn@yahoo.com) manages uniform orders for adult rowers.
The Albany Rowing Center Juniors uniform is a unisuit (uni) which is required for all regattas. The bottom of this uni is navy and the top has an orange center with wide white side stripes. The logo is Albany Rowing in navy and crossed hatchet blade oars in orange embroidered on the left chest.
New rowers are required to purchase a uni when they register. Team uniforms are ordered for juniors before each season. Nancy Herron (theherrons@nycap.rr.com) manages uniform orders for junior rowers.
Nancy and Donna initiate orders by e-mailing junior and adult rowers respectively, advising them what items will be ordered, what the current prices are, what size information is needed from each rower to ensure proper fit and the date by which all orders must be turned in to them. Payment in advance (check payable to Albany Rowing Center or cash) must accompany each rower’s order. Once orders have been received, they work directly with vendors. When clothing is received from the vendors, Nancy and Donna distribute it in turn to club rowers.
Many other clothing items are also available for order.
